Strategy
- Charles Babbage has access to multiple self-buffs which can hasten his NP charge.
- As a Caster, he unfortunately suffers from lackluster Attack. Focus on adding his decent Arts Card composition to the draw to give him a steady supply of NP each turn.
- Be sure to enhance his Mechanized Armor Skill to buff his measly Attack and decrease its Cooldown. This enables him to safely negate damage through invincibility.
- Given his deck composition, he appreciates buff from fellow Casters to function decently.
- William Shakespeare is one of the recommended allies since he shares the same NP-type with Charles. With Territory Creation, he receives an additional boost in damage for his Arts cards. If you can chain Buster Cards and activate either his or Charles’ Overcharge, it will help in piercing groups of enemies.
- Hans Christian Andersen can also assist Charles with his NP which grants chance buffs. Since his NP is Arts-type, be sure to chain Charles’ Arts cards to prepare his NP in the future turn.
- Through his Mass Production Skill, Thomas Edison can spread C. Stars across the party members. He also acquires Concept Improvement to shoulder his ally’s NP Overcharge.
- Nursery Rhyme can support Charles as a standalone Critical attacker depending on the party’s C. Star absorption. Be sure to assign another servant to gather plenty of C. Stars for them to scoop up during battle.
- Helena Blavatsky is an example of a support that checks all 3 Card-type effectiveness and grants NP charge for the team. By having her on the field, she can spread buffs to the party and debuffs on the team. This in turn will strengthen Charles’ NP damage.
Best Equipment
- By considering Charles Babbage’s Skills, his options for Craft Essences depends on the build he is intended to be assigned to. Generally, it is comprised of those that either promote his NP damage, or allow him to excel in inflicting Critical hits.
- Heaven’s Feel offers a more sustainable boost to NP damage in comparison to The Black Grail. Unfortunately, Charles Babbage already takes Burn damage upon casting Overload, making the latter less efficient especially when the residual damage builds up.
- Fragments of 2030 allows Charles to raise C. Star drops which goes along with his Single-Mindedness. In case there is another servant with Innocent Monster in play, it is better off passing this CE instead.

Origins
This robotic servant is based on the real-life Charles Babbage, a mathematician, philosopher, inventor, and mechanical engineer.
He is known for formulating the concept of the first digital programmable computer. Due to his concepts and discoveries, he is considered by most to be the “father of the computer”.
His concept of the computer would later be expanded and improved into the modern computers and gadgets that most of us now own today.
