Strategy

• Eric Bloodaxe is a Servant with good debuff skills and a powerful NP that sacrifices his HP to deal high damage to all enemies. This is offset by the fact that he can apply Guts on himself using his Battle Continuation skill.
• Eric’s NP will allow him to damage all enemies at the cost of 1,000 of his own HP. If he is not knocked out after performing it, he is still very likely to be defeated during the enemy’s turn. This makes his NP a ‘last card’ of sorts unless you have Battle Continuation activated.
• When choosing to enhance his skills, Battle Continuation must be your top priority to reduce its CD. This will make Eric’s otherwise low survival rate closer to decent.
• William Shakespeare is a good teammate for Eric, specifically for his King’s Troupe skill. This charges an ally’s NP gauge by 20% to quickly allow Eric to use his NP. Furthermore, Shakespeare’s NP has a chance to stun all enemies, which is good to negating any damage to the party (especially when Eric himself is near death after using his own NP). To avoid further incoming attacks, Leonidas skills for directing damage on himself also works well to shield Eric.

Best Equipment

• The Imaginary Element CE is good for allowing Eric to charge his NP gauge faster.
• Battle of Camlann is also a good support CE to use to take advantage of Eric’s strong tendency to be knocked out during combat, especially after using his NP.
• Parted Sea can be used to raise Eric’s evasion to extend his survivability.

Origins

The Viking king who wields the bloodstained axe, he was thus referred to as the Bloodaxe King.

9th Century ruler of Norway, his power as king did not last for long as his rule went for merely over 3 years. Once he was ousted, he fled to England and became the feudal lord of the province.

The story behind his title is ominous. Due to his thirst for a higher seat in power, and forming relations with the witch Gunnhild, he butchered his siblings.

It is difficult to pursue a cordial relation with him being the servant. As a Heroic Spirit, there will be instances when his wife will intervene. To maintain him as a servant, it is essential to listen to her words.
