Ascension Items Farming Guide
For the Ascension Items Farming Guide, here you’ll find the locations and AP costs of each quest in order to farm that particular item. However, some of the FGO ascension items may not be available based on the current patch. But this doesn’t mean that the players can never get the item. Sometimes, there are events such as the Mad Party 2017 event that allows players to procure items that are difficult to get such as the Homunculus Baby or the Forbidden Pages. However, we’ll soon be updating our Fate Grand Order Farming Guide as more locations show up.
Unfortunately, Fate Grand Order Drop Rate of ascension items can be terrible and need constant grinding in order to gain.
Recommended Areas for Farming Ascension Items
Proof of Hero
Proof of Hero is commonly dropped by Soldier or Pirate enemies, including their strong versions. However, the Proof of Hero is one of the most common ascension items since it’s a reward from the Daily Login as well. Most uses for the Proof of Hero are more for skill leveling more than ascending the servant itself itself.

Evil Bone
Evil Bones drop often times from Skeletons and their stronger variants. Take note that majority of the Skeletons are often times from the different Knight classes which appear on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. However, Evil Bone Farming also takes some time as skeletons don’t often appear. When defeating a Skeleton enemy, this ascension item drops from a silver chest.
Despite appearing similarly to the Skeleton, the Dragontooth Warriors do not drop Evil Bones. Instead, they drop Dragon Fangs.

Dragon Fang
Dragon Fangs commonly drop from Wyverns and their stronger versions. However, they also drop from Dragontooth Warriors which mostly appear in Fuyuki. Farming ascension items from Wyverns and Dragontooth Warriors however, from the latest patch, seem to have a better drop rate than most ascension items. Similar to the Evil Bones, the Dragon Fang also drops from the silver chest.

Void’s Dust
Void’s Dust is also one of the more common materials dropped from the quests. After fighting Shadow Servants, they drop either their class piece or monument or a Void’s Dust. When farming for Void’s Dust, they usually drop from a gold chest.

Seed of Yggdrasil
The Seed of Yggdrasil ascension item is commonly used for Archers and Lancers for ascension. Servants such as Robin Hood, Cu Chulainn, and Cu Chulainn (Prototype) use the Seed of Yggdrasil as a means to ascend their skills and max level limit.

Ghost Lantern
Ghost Lanterns are also a rare ascension item drop which drop from Ghost-type enemies. All Ghost-type enemies and their variants drop Ghost Lanterns, emerging from a gold chest. However, there are also certain events that also allow the player to buy or farm the Ghost Lantern.

Homunculus Babies are dropped by Homunculus enemies. As of the 1.5.0 Patch, these ascension items can be obtained at a low chance from the Homunculi that spawn in multiple London Free Quests. Some accessible Interlude Quests, such as Heracles’ 2nd Interlude, and Cu Chulainn’s Interlude, have Homunculi enemies that you can try fighting. However, they can only be fought once.
