Fourth Night – P.S. Daddy Longlegs

Now armed with the knowledge that a fake santa is up and about, Santa Alter and the protagonist continue with their next recipient signed with P.S. Daddy Long-legs. With that, Santa Alter takes her “reindeer” out to find that there are several Archers all stranded out at sea. She also tries to figure out which among the three Archers is actually the one who signed P.S. Daddy Longlegs.

Tips:

• For the P.S. Daddy Longlegs quest, you’ll have Archer class enemies to deal with which is quite annoying since there’s no Lancer class servant that has the effect bonus. If you have a servant who can brute force the problem (regardless of affinity) then, go ahead. Though personally, bringing a Lancer class servant will make your life easier. The servant of choice here was Cu Chulainn who has Divine Protection from Arrows, allowing him to sustain in battle.
  • It doesn’t matter which Cu Chulainn you bring. Even the Caster class version has Divine Protection from Arrows. Though, better if you bring the Lancer class versions.
• Clear the Caster class enemies wave with Santa Alter since Rider beats Caster in terms of affinity. However, you can also use that wave to charge up Cu Chulainn‘s noble phantasm. The higher the overcharge, the better the chances of inflicting Instant Death on the Enemy.
  • Overcharge Effects only occur upon activation of the Noble Phantasm. So, for a quick and easy finish for the P.S. Daddy Longlegs quest, bring a Cu Chulainn with an NP of at least Level 3. It’s okay if it’s only level 1 also but make sure he has enough power to back himself up.
• When you reach the second wave of the P.S. Daddy Longlegs quest, you have two enemies of great threat: EMIYA and Robin Hood.
  • My personal choice however is to kill EMIYA first. Among all the Servant enemies in the P.S. Daddy Longlegs quest, he’s probably the most threatening due to his multi-hit noble phantasm – Unlimited Bladeworks along with his Mind’s Eye (True) which grants him some form of sustain.
  • Secondly, he’s an Archer class enemy. He only needs three turns before he skewers you with a barrage of blades.
  • If your Cu Chulainn has his Noble Phantasm up, you can use it or focus all your efforts on him first. Robin Hood may have Yew Bow but between the two of them, Yew Bow only kills one servant with additional damage if poisoned while EMIYA has the potential to kill all of your servants plus give an attack demerit if they survive.
• After that, you’ll move onto the third wave of the P.S. Daddy Longlegs quest which has David as the last boss. If your Cu Chulainn still has his NP, you can use it. Unlike EMIYA, he isn’t too much of a threat due to his NP focusing on a single unit. At the same time, he doesn’t have evades which means you can still deal damage to him. You can also use Santa Alter‘s Excalibur Morgan to create an NP chain, boosting your Cu Chulainn‘s chance of inflicting Instant Death.
• Once you’ve defeated him, you can now move on to the next quest.
