Tips

  • Majority of the enemies in this battle are Assassins, so a good Caster will be good for this fight. The Dragon Tooth Warriors shouldn’t be much trouble. The real battle begins after the first wave…
  • Shadow Medea has Rapid Words of the Divine, which charges her gauge by 2 bars. Since enemies gain 1 bar in their turn, she can get a total of 3 bars out of 5 in a single turn, letting her use strong attack much more often. She can also use Argon Coin to replenish her HP. Since enemies don’t seem to have skill cooldowns, it’s dangerous if she gets to spam these skills.
  • Shadow Medea is stronger offensively, but using a Rider to beat her is still hazardous, because Shadow Hassan can cover her weakness. Being an Assassin enemy, he has a high critical hit rate when he attacks, and he also only has 3 bars in his Charge Gauge, letting him quickly use strong attacks.
  • Overall, using a strong Caster Servant is the safest way of getting through this fight. The rare Zhuge Liang provides unparalleled offensive and defensive potential. If you have a Medea of your own, she has a lot of useful skills that lets her spam her Noble Phantasm repeatedly. This allows her to consistently break down single targets.

Tips

  • The Dragon Tooth Warriors at the first wave are not much trouble, and since they’re all Sabers, you can just bring an Archer to take them out easily. As before, the upcoming Shadow Servant battle is what’s really dangerous.
  • Shadow Medusa has access to both Mystic Eyes and Monstrous Strength, and up to three attacks per turn. Since enemies don’t have skill cooldowns, Medusa can spam Mystic Eyes to Stun multiple allies, and Monstrous Strength boosts her ATK.
  • The good part is that she’s fighting alone, so you can bring an Assassin to take her down. Carmilla is especially useful in this fight, because of multiple factors. First, Vampirism can both lower her Charge Gauge and increase her own, while Torture Technique can reduce her DEF. Finally, her Noble Phantasm, Phantom Maiden, is a powerful single-target attack that increases in damage against females. If you don’t have Carmilla, Jing Ke is another serviceable Assassin for sheer offensive prowess.

Tips

  • Majority of the enemies in this fight are Archers, so having a good Lancer along can make this fight much easier. Again, the Dragon Tooth Warriors at the start shouldn’t be too much trouble. Use this chance to build up your NP gauges or generate C. Stars to use in the next battle.
  • Of the two Shadow Servants here, EMIYA is much stronger offensively, while Musashibou Benkei is much better at taking hits. EMIYA has lower HP, too, so it’s best to target him first. Elisabeth Bathory is a pretty good all-around Lancer to have in this fight, because she can buff her allies’ ATK and lower the DEF of her enemies. She also boasts some decent offensive power in her own right. Otherwise, Cu Chulainn and Cu Chulainn (Prototype) are also good offensive Lancers with powerful Noble Phantasms to take EMIYA out quickly.

Tips

  • There’s only one enemy here, but it’s the powerful Altria Pendragon herself. She has 4 bars in her Charge Gauge, and she can attack thrice per turn. She can use Instinct to increase her critical hit rate, and Mana Burst to boost her attacks.
  • Gilgamesh himself is a very good Servant to use for this fight. He has very powerful attacks, and an anti-Servant Noble Phantasm in Enuma Elish. He also takes half damage from anything Altria does, and does double damage to her due to his advantage in affinity. For other good Archers, Robin Hood is of particular note. With Sabotage, he can lower Altria’s ATK and Poison her at the same time, while his Yew Bow is a very powerful single-target Noble Phantasm.
