Magical Stocking Farming
In the Almost Weekly Santa Alter Event, the Magical Stocking is a kind of currency only available in the FGO 2017 Christmas Event. However unlike the Honnouji Points from the GUDAGUDA Honnouji Event, the Magical Stockings serve as a currency to roll the lottery. The lottery system allows players to get special tickets that will help players gain the special servant: Santa Alter!

Holy Night Sign CE Stack
The Holy Night Sign Craft Essence may not effect the amount of stockings additively but rather, by increasing the probability of a bonus stack dropping. Each Holy Night Sign Craft Essence increases that drop rate by 20%. And since it’s become farmable from the Free Quests, it’s possible to get around 5 of these craft essences and equip them on your servants. In doing so, you can easily increase it to 100% sure chance rate of having bonus magical stocking stacks dropping from each servant.
Servant Stacks
Similar to the GUDAGUDA Honnouji Event, there are specific servants that have special effects during this event. Some of these servants include: Santa Alter, Nursery Rhyme, Jack the Ripper, Jing Ke, Julius Caesar, St. Martha, Phantom of the Opera, Marie Antoinette, Robin Hood, David, and Darius III.
All these servants have a special effect on the Magical Stocking Drop. Unlike the Holy Night Sign CE, the servants increase the number of Magical Stockings dropped per stack. Below are the servants and their denominations on the Magical Stocking per stack.

Since we can’t repeat servants, the best combination would amount to +11 which is Santa Alter, Saint Martha, Jack the Ripper, Nursery Rhyme, and Marie Antoinette. However, take note of the enemy classes otherwise, it’ll be pointless.
Don’t be afraid to swap out one of the special effect servants.
It’ll be pointless if you keep getting wiped in the Free Quests. You’ll end up spending more AP and wasting more time than you should. Hence, you can try swapping out servants with a low denomination instead. For example, some of the enemies are of the Archer class which are weak against Lancers. Since Robin Hood and David only have a +1 denomination, the loss won’t be as damaging if one were to swap out Marie Antoinette or Santa Alter.
