The Mist City: London

For the third section, “The Baleful Fog Sneers”, the protagonist and Mash finally meet up with Mordred’s friend – Henry Jekyll. As he begins informing them about the mist that covers London. Apparently, none of the citizens have died but the mist has been ushering a new set of monsters that plague the city. While he continues his investigation, he then orders Mash, Mordred, and the protagonist to meet up with a friend of his.

Tips

  • Automata and Homonculi are common enemies that appear in London. The Baleful Fog Sneers episode is no exception to the rule. And if you’re lucky enough, they could also possibly drop the rare ascension items: Infinity Gears and Homunculus babies.
  • A personal touch that works with this team would be two Sabers and one Caster. The two Sabers would each have 2 Arts Cards with the Caster class servant having 3 Arts Cards. While Medea would be a common choice for Casters, Elisabeth Bathory (Halloween) has a multi-target Noble Phantasm plus Mana Burst. This increases her mediocre damage especially if your Saber is someone like Altera who has Tactics.
  • Altera and Altria pair well together here in this particular stage due to the multiple Lancer class enemies. Not only does Altria have Charisma, she also has Mana Burst that increases the damage output of Excalibur.
  • The NP Arrangement would be as follows: Altera (Photon Ray) → Elisabeth Bathory (Halloween) (Bathory Erzebet Halloween) → Altria Pendragon (Excalibur). Having Altera open would inflict a defense demerit on enemies which would allow either of the two to deal the finishing blow.
    • Having Altria finishing last is simply to exploit her overcharge effect which is to replenish the NP spent after casting Excalibur.

Tips

  • With multiple Lancers in the first wave, use them to charge up your NP gauge. It’s better however if you have more Rider class servants with multiple Arts Cards. However, if you have Starting NP craft essences, that would make this battle ideally a whole lot easier. Best to get Rider class servants that are a balance between offense and support. However if you have a support based Rider, find another Rider that can increase the damage output of that particular servant.
  • For example, players can bring Saint Martha and Francis Drake. With Saint Martha‘s Tarasque, you can pair up with Francis Drake‘s Voyager of the Storm to increase the damage output. If you have a multi-hit Buster Noble Phantasm coming from your Saber class servant, this battle should be easy.
  • The attack would be as follows: Francis Drake (Voyager of the Storm) → Saint Martha (Tarasque) → Francis Drake (Golden Wild Hunt) → Altria Lily/ Altera/ Altria (Caliburn/ Photon Ray/ Excalibur)
  • With that, you should have an easy time wiping Mephistopheles clean from the board to finish the Baleful Fog Sneers chapter.
