Strategy
- Sakata Kintoki is a versatile Berserker class servant which can be accommodated both during early game and over.
- He has access to a wide range of Skills, apart from that his NP gain and ATK damage are stellar.
- Be sure to consider reinforcing his Noble Phantasm to bolster
- With Monstrous Strength, his ATK rises significantly and when paired with the Master Skill Instant Enhancement, becomes even more threatening.
- His NP is not left unchecked due to Animal Communication, allowing Kintoki to fill his gauge by around 30~50% depending on the Skill level.
- Focus on raising his Skill Monstrous Strength first to reap the effects of the ATK buff. When performing a Buster Brave Chain, he can make quick work of most enemy bosses if you can stack the ATK buffs.
- Compatible servants consist of those that can draw enemies’ attacks or those that grant Invincibility or cast DEF buffs.
- Mash Kyrielight is the first servant that comes to mind. Her Obscurant Wall of Chalk and Wall of Transcient Snowflakes. One of the downsides however is that her NP does not share the same type as Kintoki’s, thus there is a trade-off between DEF and ATK should you consider connecting chains.
- Leonidas has multiple buffs that Kintoki appreciates. He gains access to Warrior’s War Cry after finishing his Strengthening Quest which allows him to raise Buster Card effectiveness of his allies. This when timed with Kintoki’s Buster Brave Chain allow him to pummel his enemies with significant amounts of damage. He also offers cushion from attacks with Pride of Rearguard, allowing Kintoki to avoid single-target damage for 1 turn.
- Although Leonidas offers a more balanced buff, Georgios is another replacement but takes the role of a pure defensive type support. Guardian Knight allows him to draw attention of enemies for 3 turns while his DEF is up. His Card composition suffers from lack of Buster Cards, however he makes up for it with Skills that attempt to prolong his duration in the field with heals and Guts status.
Best Equipment
- Limited/Zero Over is the most suitable Craft Essence without question as he possesses 3 Buster Cards. With a boost in his cards’ effectiveness, his damage becomes even higher.
- Kaleidoscope is another high cost CE which allows Kintoki to easily trigger his NP making him turn the tides of battle as a support at the back. With this CE equipped, even a low level Animal Communication is enough to fully max out the gauge.
- If you require a low Cost CE, The Imaginary Element is another option which fills the NP modestly.
- Dragon’s Meridian is a decent replacement especially when it reaches max Limit Breakthrough.
- For NP-oriented builds, Angel’s Song bestows a massive 25~30% raise in Kintoki’s NP damage.

Origins
Classified as Kintarou’s prototype, Sakata Kintoki (Berserker) is as popular as Japan’s Momotarou. He has a noisy, passionate, personality coupled with his vulnerability to crying.
He fancies gold among other things, with the Golden Retriever as his favorite dog breed, and a penchant for Golden Delicious apples.
Although he failed miserably during primary school life, an oni – Shuten Douji infatuated her during their encounter. However, it ended up in a foul play and Sakata dreams that she raises up so that they would see each other again.
Sakata pairs well with a Master who promotes a mutual relationship and avoids those who resort to violence on women and children .
