Strategy
Preparation
Make sure to bring nullberies to cure yourself when Banbaro inflicts you with iceblight. In terms of what armor to use, the direwolf layered armor set is decent enough to take down Banbaro.
Gather as many hot peppers as you can to make hot drinks for cold resistance. Without it, you will expend more stamina than normal while sprinting and dodging.
Banbaro
Mobility is very important when fighting Banbaro as you must constantly reposition yourself to avoid its charging attacks. Attacking it on its side is safe, so regularly flank it throughout the fight.
Using fast weapons such as the sword and shield or dual blades makes it easier to pull back when expecting Banbaro to retaliate. These weapons are especially effective in getting a few hits in when Banbaro is enraged. Slower weapons like the great sword, hammer, or switch ax make you more vulnerable to counterattacks if you do not time your strikes well.
Turf Wars
You can take advantage of the time Banbaro is locked in a turf war with Beotodus to do some damage. It is risky, though, since Banbaro’s size makes it likely to clip you if you do not position yourself well. Force Beotodus or Banbaro to relocate by shooting either of them with dung pods.
