Strategy

Preparation

Stock up on nullberries to cure waterblight after Coral Pukei-Pukei’s water jet attacks. Having a good supply of flashpods is also useful for interrupting the monster’s aerial panning water beam.

Coral Pukei-Pukei

It is recommended to engage Coral Pukei-Pukei at mid to close range. Positioning yourself very far from the monster causes it to use its water beam attacks more often.

Coral Pukei-Pukei Monster Guide

Strafe Coral Pukei-Pukei and attack it from the side. Do not stand in front of it for too long in order to avoid its charging attack and multiple water balls. You can interrupt Coral Pukei-Pukei’s aerial water beam attack by shooting out a flashpod. After it crashes down, unload on it before it pulls itself together.

Intruders

Tzitzi-Ya-Ku can interfere with your hunt and stun you with its flashing organ attack. Shoot Tzitzi-Ya-Ku or Coral Pukei-Pukei with a dung pod to force either of them to move to another area. Resume your hunt when Coral Pukei-Pukei is alone.
