Strategy

Observe its Tells

Great Jagras telegraphs its moves very well, making them easy to avoid. It becomes faster when enraged, though not enough to become a real threat. Dodge to its side when it attacks and then retaliate as it recovers.

Attack its Belly After it Eats

When Great Jagras swallows prey, its size will significantly increase. Its moves will do more damage because of the added weight. Aim for its belly to force it to vomit out its meal. Great Jagras will be extremely weak afterward, allowing you to unleash a barrage of follow-up attacks.

Watch Out for its Roll

Great Jagras will use its roll attack more frequently when it is enraged. It can do this multiple times in a row, stunning you if you get hit twice.

Mount it with Aerial Attacks or the Clutch Claw

You can mount Great Jagras by performing aerial attacks or by using the clutch claw. Once you are latched on, use your weapon’s special mounted attack or unload in its face with the slinger.
