Bring Nullberies

Jyuratodus’ attacks cause waterblight. Bring some nullberries to cure it or get them from gathering points in area 10.

Collect Research Samples

You will come across some monster samples, such as old splintered thorns, an Aptonoth carcass, and some sticky mud in area 4. Collecting samples nets you research points used for crafting palico equipment, paying for meals at the canteen, growing crops at the botanical research, and other useful features.

Jyuratodus is a quick adversary when underwater but slow when on land. It will start the battle swimming around and shooting mud balls. Running to its side allows you to evade its projectiles and swimming charge.

Jyuratodus Monster Guide

When it dives, it will perform its rapid lunging attacks. Get away from it when it disappears into the water.

You can up your offense when Jyuratodus emerges but remember to reposition yourself when it faces your direction.

Take Advantage of Turf Wars

When Jyuratodus moves to area 4, it may engage in a turf war with Barroth. You can try to get in a few hits while your target is distracted, though you are likely to get clipped as the two monsters thrash about. Try to attack Jyuratodus’ tail to avoid getting sandwiched in the scrap.
