Strategy
Preparation
Similar to your fight against Nergigante, you will need thunder weapons like the Tobi Kadachi to deal with Kushala Daora. It can summon an aura that inflicts knockback to those nearby, so choose armor that has the windproof ability.
To complement your armor, use mantles that boost defense such as the Vitality mantle.
Other than that, have mega potions ready as well as multiple flash pods. These are essential to survive against the strong winds that it summons and to prevent it from covering the area with uncontrollable winds respectively.
Kushala Daora
When you have everything you need, head to zone 3 to begin the match.
Kushala Daora has a habit of soaring to launch aerial attacks. Wait for it to take off, then throw a flash pod to pull it down. You can later deal some chip damage while it’s pinned to the ground.
In some cases, it gains invincibility to flash pods. Some examples are when it heads back to its nest or when it cloaks itself in one of its tornadoes. When it comes out of hiding, immediately use a flash pod to immobilize it.
