Strategy

Thunder Resistance

Tobi-Kadachi’s thunder attacks do a lot of damage. To mitigate this, wear armor with good thunder resistance, particularly the bone armor set. Using the thunderblight mantle also reduces thunder damage, though only temporarily.

To boost your elemental resistance even more, eat a veggie platter at the canteen before heading out.

Bring Nullberies

Tobi-Kadachi can inflict thunderblight if you get hit with its elemental attacks. This makes you more susceptible to being stunned. Bring Nullberies or get them from gathering spots around the Ancient Forest to cure yourself.

Avoiding the Lunging Tail Sweep

Tobi-Kadachi will cling to a tree and jump off to perform a tail sweep. The attack has a delayed hit, making it quite tricky to evade. When Tobi-Kadachi jumps off the tree, wait until it approaches and spreads its limbs in front of you before dodging.

Dodging the Electric Tail Slam Attack

Watch out when Tobi-Kadachi’s tail flickers with sparks as it will perform a lightning tail slam. You can avoid the move by dodging to Tobi-Kadachi’s side or towards it if you are near enough. Performing the latter puts you behind it, giving you a brief moment to get in a few hits on its head.
