Taking on two tempered Bazelgeuse will be your biggest challenge thus far. Stock up on as many healing items as you can before heading out. The health booster and vitality mantle can also help you stay alive. For even more survivability, equip your palico with the vigorwasp gadget.
Wear armor with high fire resistance to reduce damage from elemental attacks. Pieces of the Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Rathalos, and Anjanath armor sets are good options. Eat a veggie platter to further raise fire resistance.
Be sure to visit the smithy to max out your armor’s defense. Bring some adamant seeds to stack more physical damage reduction.
It is very important to fight each Bazelgeuse one at a time. Do not forget to bring dungpods to force one of them to flee from the area. Bring dung to make more if you run out.
Flashpods allow you to interrupt the Bazelgeuse during their carpet bomb attack. Have as many of them as you can in your loadout, including flashbugs to craft more.
Earplugs prevent you from getting stunned when Bazelgeuse roars. You will need to raise the skill to level 4 to completely nullify the effects, though. Try to combine pieces of the Bazelgeuse alpha set with the earplugs charm to activate it.
A tempered Bazelgeuse can quickly take you out in a couple of hits, making it incredibly risky to engage with melee weapons. Be very patient. Limit yourself to draw attacks as much as possible when using weapons like the great sword, hammer, or switch ax.
You can stay on the offense longer with fast weapons like dual blades or sword and shield. Just be careful when Bazelgeuse’s scales are glowing as they will explode upon falling onto the ground.
Have flashpods at the ready to force Bazelgeuse to crash down when it goes airborne. You can also interrupt its carpet bomb attack this way. Unload on it as it struggles to get up. Be warned that Bazelgeuse recovers faster than most monsters after getting knocked down, so adjust your offense accordingly.
Do not attempt to take on two Bazelgeuse at the same time. Having both of them litter the area with explosive scales will almost always result in defeat. Use dungpods to force one of them to relocate before resuming your hunt.
