Strategy

Preparation

Equip pieces of the Kulu or Rathalos armor sets to bolster fire resistance. Eating a veggie platter before heading out gives you even more defense against a high rank Anjanath’s elemental attacks. If are not too worried about its flame breath move, you can eat a fish platter instead for enhanced physical defense.

Stock up on healing items, especially max potions. Bring mega nutrients and mandragoras to make more during the hunt. High-rank Anjanath can take you out in a few hits because of the massive boost in its damage output. Try to keep your health above 70 percent at all times during the fight.

Use nullberries to remove fireblight if you do get hit by Anjanath’s fire attacks.

Anjanath

Fighting Anjanath in Wildspire Waste is somewhat easier than in the Ancient Forest. Wildpsire Waste has many wide areas, allowing you to move around better to avoid getting hit. The abundance of ledges also let you do jumping attacks more frequently for mounting Anjanath.

Anjanath Monster Guide

It is still important to get hit as little as possible. You will start to notice the jump in damage dealt by high-rank monsters during this quest. Stop by the smithy and upgrade your armor’s defense if you have any armor spheres stockpiled.

As always, be very patient against Anjanath. Bait out the monster’s attack before strafing. Get in a few hits and then immediately pull back to anticipate another attack. When Anjanath is enraged, focus on avoiding it until it calms down.

Intruders

It is not recommended to press on the offense during turf wars, especially if Diablos appears. Use dungpods to force a monster to relocate before pursuing Anjanath again.
