Strategy

Dodge the Charge Attacks

Banbaro appears as the first boss in the beta version of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. It often attacks the hunter by charging at them in a straight line. Avoid the attack and strike from the side.

Avoid the Debris

Banbaro will sometimes run over debris while charging. It will pick debris up and throw it at the player. Time your side rolls to dodge anything thrown your way.

Ground Attacks

Aside from tossing objects at the hunter, Banbaro can also use its horns to pound the ground and cause area of effect damage. Hunters need to familiarize themselves with its behavior since it will also rely on ranged attacks.

Be Wary of Iceblight

Occasionally, Banbaro will inflict you with Iceblight which causes you to burn through stamina more quickly. Don’t let your stamina go to waste by immediately using a Nulberry to counter its effect.

Change your Equipment

If you own any weapons or gear that have earthquake resistance, this fight is the time to equip them. The last thing you’d want is to get stunned in the heat of battle.

Interrupt Turf Wars

Banbaro shares its habitat with Beotodus which means that you might find them in a duel during your visit. You can join in the fight and deal with Banbaro while it’s distracted.
