Strategy
Bring Antidotes
Pukei-Pukei’s attacks inflict poison, so stock-up on antidotes before heading out. You can also check the supply box at the camp to get three, though they will hardly be enough. Gather some antidote herbs and make more to help you in the fight.
Pukei-Pukei
Do not stay in front of Pukei-Pukei for too long to avoid its poison projectiles. Strafe it and attack before it faces you again. Be careful of the plants in area 6 that leak out pools of venom. These linger for a while and will poison you if you step on them.
Be ready to pull back when you see Pukei-Pukei wag its tail, signaling its double tail whip attack. Wait until it misses twice before rushing back in to strike.
Catch any vigorwasps you see flying around to recover your health. You will save on potions this way.
Avoid Anjanath
It is not recommended to take on Anjanath when it appears since your equipment will not be strong enough to fend it off. Simply run away and wait for Pukei-Pukei to move to another area before resuming your hunt.
