Strategy

Focus on the Head and Tail

When facing its normal form, Jyuratodus is weak to thunder and resists water. Strike its head or tail with a thunder element weapon to whittle it down.

Bait it into Fighting on Land

Jyuratodus excels at fighting in spots submerged under water since it can hide underneath it. You need to drag it to a spot deprived of water. When moving to land, it forces the wyvern to rely on a select few attacks, making it more predictable.

Dodge its Underwater Attacks

To check if it’s about to perform its underwater attack, wait for it to make a splash. You then need to execute a side roll to avoid the attack. Another attack to watch out for is its charge. You can tell when it’s about to do this as it will roar. Unlike the previous attack, this one is much more difficult to evade. You need to perform a well-timed side roll to dodge it. When it misses, you can punish it with a couple of swift strikes.

Mount It

Sometime later, it will eventually swim to an area surrounded by small stones. Use this opportunity to mount it for a combo. Bear in mind that you need to draw Jyuratodus away from the platforms. By preventing it from breaking them into pieces, you can continue to exploit this spot to land your attacks.

Fire Puddle Pods

During the middle of the fight, Jyuratodus will perform a death roll and bathe itself in mud. By covering itself, it reverses its weaknesses and resistances. To remove the ooze, you need to shoot it with puddle pods.
