Spinning Bludgeon Release R2 (after acumulating charge while moving)
Spinning Side Smash △ (after first spin of spinning bludgeon)
Spinning Follow-up △ (after second or third spin of spinning bludgeon)
Spinning Strong Upswing △ (after fourth or fifth spin of spinning bludgeon)
Flinch Shot* R2 (hold) + L2 (after charge tier 2 or 3)
Slinger Burst* R2 + L2

  • Simple but powerful five-hit combo
  • Best used after knocking a monster down for massive damage
Combo from Charge Tier 1 Left stick + R2 (hold) > △ > △
Combo with Slinger Burst (slinger ammo required)* R2 hold (charge) > L2 (slinger burst) > left stick + R2 (side blow)

Charged Attack to Spinning Bludgeon

Left stick + R2 (hold) > release at charge tier 3 (charged side blow) > △ (spinning bludgeon)

  • Ending attack can change depending on charge tier release
Charged Attack to Basic Combo 1

Left stick + R2 (hold) > release at charge tier 1 (charged side blow) > △ (reverse swing) > △ (ground smash I) > △ (ground smash II) > △ (upswing)

  • Connects charged attack to the first basic combo
Flinch Shot to Charged Big Bang V*

R2 hold (charge) > ○ (power charge) > L2 (flinch shot) > Release  R2 (charged big bang V)

  • Flinch shot momentarily stuns enemies as a set up for big bang V
  • To increase the chances of stunning, use stronger slinger ammo.
Clutch Claw Combo 1

R2 hold (charge) > ○ (power charge) > release at charge tier 2 (charged upswing) > L2 (clutch claw attack) > △ (mounted attack)

  • Combo that connects the charged upswing to the jumping clutch claw attack to mount the monster
Clutch Claw Combo 2

R2 hold (charge) > ○ (power charge) > release at charge tier 3 (charged big bang V) > L2 (clutch claw attack) > △ (mounted attack)

  • Combo that connects the charged big bang V to the spinning aerial attack to mount the monster
