Strategy
Preparation
Having a good amount of fire resistance reduces damage from Anjanath’s elemental attacks. Wear pieces of the Kulu armor set and eat a veggie platter to get as much protection against fire as you can.
You will likely get inflicted with fireblight when fighting Anjanath. Bring nullberries to cure yourself or roll on the ground three times to remove the condition.
Stock up on as many healing items as you can as the fight will be the most difficult thus far.
Anjanath
Anjanath presents the first real challenge for many new players because of its extremely aggressive behavior. Due to its large size and long reach, it is capable of clipping you at weird angles.
The key to defeating Anjanath is patience. Try to get a feel for how many strikes you can get in before Anjanath can retaliate. Do not overextend from there. Fast weapons like the sword and shield and dual blades allow you to easily pull back and avoid Anjanath’s counterattacks. Jumping strikes work very well against Anjanath, allowing you to mount and knock it down.
When Anjanath is enraged, get away and focus on evading its fire attacks. You can continue chipping away at its health when it calms down. Stay on the move at all times.
Do not be discouraged if you faint a few times before succeeding. Remember to restock on items whenever you are sent back to camp.
