Strategy

Take Out the Lesser Girros First

Great Girros often calls lesser Girros to aid it in battle. These minions are also capable of inflicting paralysis, so take them out first. Be careful not to get too distracted by the lesser Girros as Great Girros can sneak up on you when not in view.

Watch out for Great Girros’ Paralysis Attack

Great Girros can paralyze its target up close or from a distance. Do not lose sight of Great Girros even when fighting lesser ones as it tends to wind up its paralysis attack when unnoticed. Note that paralysis has a long duration and opens you up for Great Girros’ follow-up attacks. Since there is no remedy for the ailment, you will need to wait for it to wear off.

Break its Head

Attacking Great Girros’ head can break its hood and fangs. Destroying the first prevents Great Girros from summoning lesser Girros. Breaking its fangs reduces the duration of its paralysis attack.

You can also obtain Great Girros hoods and fangs by breaking the parts mentioned. These are required in crafting many Great Girros armor pieces and weapons.
