Strategy

Use a Poison Weapon

Prior to the fight, you can opt to equip a poison weapon since Xeno’jiiva is weak to it.

Focus on its Head and Tail

Xeno’jiiva’s weak spots are its head and tail, so focus all of your strikes on those. Since the head will often unleash vicious energy beams, you can whittle it down by attacking its tail for the most part. After dealing enough damage in the first phase, you can cleave the tail in the second phase.

Avoid its Foot

During Xeno’jiiva’s rage mode, its torso will glow a deep red. Watch out for its stomps since they will have an explosive effect which can kill you in an instant when enraged. To avoid it, back away and wait until its rage wears off. During this phase, it will also heat up the ground which inflicts fireblight. Keep rolling until the effect subsides.

Use Slinger Ammo

The moment Xeno’jiiva takes to the air, shoot it down with some dragon pods. You can prevent it from unleashing wide ranged attacks and explosions if you keep it grounded.

Projectiles

While grounded, Xeno’jiiva has access to a couple of ranged attacks, though none as wide as its airborne skills. It shoots three beams, the first one covers a straight path, then left, and finally right. The second beam extends up to the far corners of the map, and the third beam moves in a straight line. After unleashing all of its beams, Xeno’jiiva will be left open to attacks.
