Strategy

Eat some dango

Before heading out, consume some dango to earn some stat boosts.

Pick up the materials along the trail

Many items such as herbs and latchberries grow along the area leading to the site of Nargacuga. Mount the palamute and collect the items.

Bring antidotes

Nargacuga can inflict the poison ailment to put your health on a timer. Use an antidote quickly to lift its effect.

Avoid the tail

Nargacuga can perform various attacks using its tail. Among the most dangerous are its tail whip, tail spin, and tail slam attacks. The first can be avoided by rolling to either Nargacuga’s right or left when you see it turn slightly sideways with its tail raised. Dodge in the direction of where its tail was raised during its wind up to avoid the attack.
