How to Find Teleport Stones for Getting Around using Gate Crystals

This is a Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age tips and tricks article. Here you will learn all about how to teleport from one area to another.

Final Fantasy XII has an interesting way to get around before the protagonists get their really good-looking Millenium Falcon style Airship. You will have to use Teleport stones to get around before hitching a ride on the Strahl.

Getting Around with Teleport Stones

Unless you enjoy walking around amazingly rendered HD remastered PS2-era landscapes, fighting a plethora of the same enemy types till you drop, (which I often do), you would rather seek for a better way to fast-travel everywhere. If you have the Strahl in your possession, you might have an easier way of getting around. With the Strahl you wouldn’t need any vehicle whatsoever, but since you’ll only get that at the near end of the game, you’ll be stuck using Gate Crystals to get around.

What are Gate Crystals?

Gate crystals are orange Save Crystals found around Ivalice that functions as both a save point and a teleportation device. You have to touch two gate crystals in order to teleport from one place to the other. Each trip costs one teleport stone.

How to We Obtain Teleportation Stones?

For the majority of your time in the early game, you’ll only get Teleportation stones from hunts as rewards as well as drops. After entering Mt. Bur-Omisace for the first time, however, you can easily purchase teleport stones from Skyferries. Simply enter the Aerodome nearest your location and travel to another hub using an airship. As you enjoy the amenities, purchase the stones from the Assistant Storekeeper in the ferry.

Which Enemies Drop Teleportation Stones?

Here are the foes you’ll face in-game that will drop Teleport Stones:
