Battle Strategy

Omega Mark XII is an extremely powerful boss, capable of knocking out even high-level characters with its laser beam attack. It has a rather simple behavior of mostly attacking the nearest targets. It is also among the small number of bosses that cannot detect targets that are invisible.

It is highly recommended to have Arise, Renew, and Curaja for this boss battle. Balance is additionally useful as it increases your party’s damage. A good strategy is to assign three characters to distract Omega Mk. XII with Stop and Reverse. Another ally should focus on using Magicks to damage the boss while another is invisible. Lastly, there must be one ally to summon Zodiark.

Begin by casting reverse on the ally who will summon Zodiark. Then, make that ally walk up to the platform with Omega Mark XII and summon Zodiark to attack with Final Eclipse. Immediately after, make one of the decoy allies bait the boss and have the character using Magick cast stop on the decoy while the ally that summoned Zodiark is knocked out. From here, command the invisible character to revive the knocked out character that summoned Zodiark and cast Reverse on them. Afterward, make sure to remove all other characters from the battlefield and have the revived character that summoned Zodiark execute Final Eclipse again as the boss is still distracted with the character under Stop. When Stop wears off, use another decoy and revive whoever is knocked out. If done correctly, Omega Mark XII will be defeated in 20 to 30 Final Eclipses.
