Late Game Leveling
Going through the late game of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age needs characters at least level 50-55. However, there are portions that may have been overlooked due to not being part of the main story. Because of this, leveling up late game may slow down into a grind unless you go through certain areas. Here are some things you can do to increase your characters’ level.
Venture through the Henne Mines.
There are some creatures in the Henne Mines like the Behemoth that give a ton of EXP. Some of the mobs there give as much as 3000 EXP which is quite useful when you’re leveling up to fight the final boss. While some recommend staying at level 50-55 to give the final boss some challenge, others prefer leveling up completely to fight the last two bosses and one esper: Zodiark.
Go through the Necrohol of Nabudis.
Inside Nabudis, you’ll find what is deemed the legendary weapon – the Zodiac Spear. Not only do you find another esper, Chaos, but there are also mobs deep below. While going through Nabudis, you’ll also find good gear that can help you fight the final boss.
Farming Areas: Pharos at Ridorana, Giruvegan, and the East Section of the Henne Mines
Pharos in Ridorana has around 99 levels for you to climb. In the late game, this place is the ideal place for a grind. Running back and forth through Pharos will grant you a lot of EXP for fast levels.
Another place is Giruvegan which has a lot of enemies. If you’re looking for a challenge, gather them up together as a mob and continue to fight through.
As for the East Section of the Henne Mines, you need at least 10 espers to get through. You will find the last and the most powerful of the Espers once you reach the deepest depths: Zodiark.
Collect the other Espers.
Unlike other creatures, the Espers grant a lot of items, exp, and clan points which can be used to buy certain items. Also, having certain Espers allows you to unlock a variety of other skills depending on the characters’ job class.
