The Alraune King appears first as a normal monster in the Feywood. However, upon approaching the Sochen Cave Palace, the Alraune King appears as a boss. He appears similarly to an onion, having some physiological features that of a mandragora. Other relatable creatures to it are the Rogue Tomato and the Onion Queen.
Battle Strategy
The Alraune King is one of the few enemies that can increase its level to 99. It does so when using the Technick Mystery Waltz and glows with a blue aura. For this creature to spawn, the player must kill five Mandragoras. However, the Mandragoras will often run away and scatter around. But catch them immediately and kill them off in order to summon the Alraune King.
Once the Alraune King appears, use Wind Magick in order to bring it down. Physical attacks may no longer matter once it reaches a specific level. However, its low HP and low Magick Resist makes it weak against Magick so use Wind Magick to deal damage. However, if you have no Wind Magick, use either Wind-enchanted ammunition or Wind enchanted weapons.
