When approaching Giruvegan, Daedelus will emerge as its guardian. Daedelus relies on physical attacks similar to the Iron Giant. Daedelus will cast Haste to increase its attack speed at the start of the battle. However, after falling low on HP, it will begin to chain combos. Items and White Magick deal the most damage to him.
Battle Strategy
Open the battle by casting Dispel. This will remove Daedelus’ Haste buff, slowing down his attack speed. After that, cast Berserk on one of your allies. Despite the lowered defense, this will allow that ally to replenish their Mist Gauge. They can unleash a variety of Quickenings to bring down Daedelus once they have a full Mist Gauge.
Another way of making the battle easy is by using Confusion. While using Confuse, equip one of your allies with the Thief’s Cuff in order to steal the Damascus Steel. Getting the Damascus Steel will then enable you to forge Gemsteel, which is the base material for Tournesol.
