Battle Strategy
Found perched at Pharos – Subterra.
When dealing with Phoenix, employ a similar strategy as you would against the Tomb of Raithwall guardian, Garuda. Be sure to acquire the valuable Technick Telekinesis before challenging this flying boss. If you prefer, you can arm your characters with guns and bows to whittle it down. Watch closely, as Phoenix occasionally alters its attribute. In order to strike it more effectively, test which attribute deals high damage and adjust accordingly.
If you still have the Eksir Berries harvested from the previous fight against Garuda, the fight will be much easier to deal with. These are not the be-all and end-all, however. Cast Dispel to remove the effects of his buffs to prevent him from getting the upper hand. Phoenix does not pose much of a threat. Provided that you have raised your party to an adequate level and have access to Telekinesis, it should be easy to withstand its attacks and take it out.
