Zodiac Age Weapons
Weapons are one of the most important things in battle especially in a technical game like Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age [FF12: TZA]. However, ever since the Job Class edits in the International Zodiac Job System (IZJS), the weapons became more specific. Certain weapons only work with certain characters. Because of this, the roles for each character or job class are more clearly defined.
Weapons Directory
One Handed Weapons
One handed weapons have faster attack times in comparison to weapons requiring two hands. However, they do this in order to make up for their lack of damage. While using a one handed weapon, a person can combine it with a variety of other weapons to exploit the status effects of the other weapon.

Two Handed Weapons
Two handed weapons, due to their weight, deal heavy damage but with slower attack times. Since they have slower attack times, most of the classes that use two handed weapons are classes with Heavy Armor. Examples of these classes are Foebreaker and Knight.

Ranged Weapons
Ranged weapons have a special ability: to take down flying foes. While they take a long charge time and are limited on ammunition, ranged weapons are useful for taking down flying enemies and dealing damage from afar.
