Soulreaver Details

Arena of Valor Soulreaver
Type Arena of Valor Jungling Jungling
Price Arena of Valor Gold Coin 1750
Tier 3
[Effect]
Attack Damage +60
Life Steal +6%
Grants Frostbite talent
Gold Efficiency 139.25% (excluding certain passives/actives that can’t be calculated)
Unique Passive(s) Hunter: Deals 30% extra damage to monsters and receives 35% more experience from killing monsters.

Soul Taker: Next ability or normal attack on a hero deals an additional (300 +20 per level) magic damage, and damage output is increased by 7% for 3 seconds (melee combat only) (30 second cooldown) [note: upon testing, the increased AD doesn’t apply to the ability/attack that triggers the effect]

Wild: Increases attack damage by 3 for every monster killed. Stacks up to 15 times.

Soulreaver is the jungle item of choice for physical damage-dealers who need the extra AD to pump up their abilities. Compared with Scorching Wind, which provides life steal and extreme attack speed, Soulreaver pumps up attack damage the 2nd most in the game behind Fenrir’s Tooth, while also providing a juicy 15% CDR.

Recommended Heroes and/or Situation:

Ability-focused damage dealing assassins like Butterfly or Batman benefit heavily from the attack damage and cooldown reduction. The same goes for poking marksmen like Violet and The Joker (who can still go to the mid-lane and utilize Soulreaver effectively).

  1. After the new update I think soulreaver’s still a very good pickup for jungling marksmen, especially violet. The gold efficiency’s much more valuable than Scorching wind plus the 15% cdr can’t really be ignored.

The only real nerf here for the jungling marksmen is the -20 attack damage, which I don’t think that’s much of a big deal.

  2. I use the character maloch and have the soulreaver set for my build but it wont like me buy it during a match, wondering why?

    • As Soulreaver is a jungling item, players have to have the Smite Talent in order to purchase it. If you try to use any other talent, Soulreaver and the other three jungling items will be locked.
