Arduin swings his axe, sending out an energy arch that deals 250/300/350/400/450/500 (+1.0 AD)ˀ physical damage and slows enemy movement speed by 40% for 2 seconds. UNDYING PROTECTOR Mana: 60 True Damage Magic Damage |

Within 8 seconds of summoning his shield, Arduin’s next 3 normal attacks deal an additional 100/125/150/175/200/225 true damage, and each time his normal attacks damage an enemy, the cooldown time for Cull is reduced by 1 second.

In-Game Tool Tip
Keep an eye on your ability use rate. Arduin is most powerful when you make use of Undying Protector to buff your normal attacks in conjunction with the healing abilities of Bloodlust.

Arduin absolutely deserve a ton of buff. His passive is pretty awful compared to other heroes. his passive should have triggered like effects, like taking damage etc and 60 second cooldown is too long for him to be able survive in the battle.other hero could trigger their pasive every now and then, but arduin’s passive only triggered like 5 – 8 times in a 15 minutes batle not mentioning it active when leaving battle. On top of that, he needs to normal attacks or use his abilities to use his passive. His normal attack speed is also really slow, making the 8-second passive not really effective. The animation of his passive also hard to notice and the icon’s passive too.
His kit is okay, it got good damage, but he is to squishy compare to artur or thane that have the same role (warrior/tank).even zephys has more constitution than arduin, and zephys could deals ton of damage. The skill cast time also slow, making it easy to dodge.
After the latest patch, Arduin’s passive got rightly buffed. it only triggers when in battle, and life-steal for 4% of his max health for 8 secs is a lot to offer (not to mention it’s accquired from the beginning), only second to Lu Bu’s ulti. Arduin should use orbs and items that give him a lot of health anyway, to max out his “Undying protector”and passive. Arduin with above 10.000 hp will usually life-steal around 320-400 hp(in bloodlust mode, you should combine normal attack and skills to exploit his passive, just like Lu Bu) and over 1000 shield from his 2nd skill.
Arduin should be played as a line-breaker (stunner) and finisher, not as a tanker, you should move a lot and use his 1st and 2nd to stun enemies from a distance. You could say he is another version of Omarr but more attack damage in late game.
my build:
1. Odin’s Will (give hp for early game, speed and attack damage) some will choose Mantle of Ra instead
2. Gilded boots
3. Mail of pain or shield of the lost (only if you encouter Lu Bu, Omen, Zanis, Nakroth)
4. Gaia’s Standard or medal of Troy (i prefer Gaia’s standard, i move my Ardun a lot)
5. Muramasa or rankbreaker (gonna need those armor reduction)
6. there’s a lot of options for the last item, but usually to help Arduin last out longer or cover your team
Hercules Madness (this item is meaningless to Maloch with Fenrir’s tooth though)
Crimson banner
Asterion’s Shield (sadly we won’t be seeing this item in later patch)
Ancestral Glory (though usually Arduin won’t live his second life too long)
all in all, we should play Arduin like how we play Omarr, keeping close and protect your ADC. He can go solo lane but we won’t see him winning duels a lot, though somehow his passive and stuns help him winning duels against Omen
And how about arcanas? Are still usinf indomable, guerrile and skewer, Tommy?
My arcana table for Arduin:
Red orb – indomitable: Armor + max hp + attack speed
Purple orb – benevolence: max hp + hp regeneration + movement speed
Green orb – skewer: ad + armor pierce
Since Arduin has a lot of stun, i don’t use Frost cape but by all means, it’s a great item, especially goes with Mantle of Ra
Sorry for the late answer
How about frost cape? I have seen many arduin players use the item, it has great passive, slows enemies after using an ability,
The only problem when using arduin is the other player did not attack as I engage the squishy then I left to dealt with 4 or 5 enemy heroes, they more likely to farm and dont help their team mates.
