Krixi Item Builds

Arena of Valor Krixi

Item Builds List

Core Items

These items are necessary in order to play Krixi optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player and/or you have a very good reason for doing so.

Arena of Valor Orb of the MagiOrb of the Magi Orb of the Magi is a must-have early game, regularly providing health and mana to the holder so that they can stay in lane. The amount of health and ability power it provides increases as the game goes on. As a result, the item should be picked up as early as possible as to reach max strength quickly.
Arena of Valor BoomstickBoomstick Boomstick further ramps up Krixi’s damage both in the lane and during team fights thanks the explosions it adds to abilities. These, along with the large amounts of ability power that it offers, make it a solid choice when looking for additional damage and are partly responsible for Krixie’s reputation of a high-damage mage.

Optional Items

Offensive Item Choices

Arena of Valor Frosty's RevengeFrosty’s Revenge Frosty’s Revenge makes every one of Krixi’s abilities slow along with their normal effects. This will give her a lot more versatility on the battlefield and make it much easier for each subsequent ability to land. The movement speed it provides goes well with the boosts from her passive and ultimate abilities.
Arena of Valor Hecate's DiademHecate’s Diadem Able to provide more ability power than any other item, Hecate’s Diadem is a necessity on any damaging mage. No other item comes close to matching the pure ability power potential of Hecate’s Diadem, making it a great pick when needing damage.
Arena of Valor Staff of NuulStaff of Nuul Staff of Nuul is for whenever the enemies are stacking up large amounts of magic defense. Cutting through a percentage rather than a flat amount, it prevents enemies from getting too cosy with their defenses. It additionally provides cooldown reduction, allowing Krixi to cast her abilities and benefit from her passive more frequently.
Arena of Valor Rhea's BlessingRhea’s Blessing Providing defensive ability along with its ability power bonus, Rhea’s Blessing can keep Krixi fighting in longer fights. Both through the magic life steal and shield it offers, Krixi will be able to more safely approach enemies and trap them in her ultimate.
Arena of Valor Holy of HoliesHoly of Holies Holy of Holies grants Krixi a huge boost in both HP and ability power. While lacking any special effects, the raw stat bonuses will significantly increase both her offensive and defensive powers. This item is quite pricey, however, so should usually be purchased last..

Active Items

Arena of Valor Arctic Orb
Arctic Orb
Krixi is a mobile hero that has the ability to outmaneuver an enemy, but what makes Arctic Orb a great item for her is how her ultimate interacts with the item. When you activate Moonfall, then Arctic Orb, the ultimate won’t be cancelled. This can cause her to create surprising plays in team fights, especially when she is the one being focused.

Sample Item Builds

Here we focus primarily on making Krixi’s abilities as powerful as possible. Boomstick, Hecate’s Diadem, and Holy of Holies will bring her total ability power up to insane levels. Her abilities will ravage enemies caught by them, turning the pixie into an engine of destruction. The main deviation from damage is Frosty’s Revenge, which doesn’t offer as much damage as other options. The speed and slow that it offers more than make up for that, however, they allowing Krixie to flit around enemies bogged down with control effects.

Rather than focus on dealing damage, this build tries to grant Krixi large amounts of cooldown reduction so that she can regularly cast her spells and control the battlefield. Orb of the Magi, Flashy Boots, Staff of Nuul, and Rhea’s Blessing bring her up to the maximum of 40% cooldown reduction. She will be able to throw out her spells very regularly and constantly benefit from her passive’s movement speed boost. Frosty’s Revenge will help her control with its slow, also pumping up her movement speed further. While not packing the same punch as when focusing on damage, Krixi will still be able to chip away at enemy health as she slows them and knocks them into the air.

Krixi can be rather squishy when purely building offensive items, so we experimented here with giving her a bit of additional survivability with some hybrid magic and defense items. Frosty’s Revenge and Soaring Aura both offer Krixi some additional defense along with the magic power and utility that they provide. Throw this in with the health bonuses from Holy of Holies and Orb of the Magi and you have a Krixi with a nice health pool on your hands. Berith’s Agony is a nice alternative if looking for a spot of armor rather than straight health gains.

  2. Hello I have a question. I don’t understand how the Pure Damage build mentions Frosty’s Revenge but I only see Boomstick and Staff of Nuul. Is this a mistype?

    • I think that the Pure damage part is just bad and confusingly written.

Orb of the Magi, Enchanted Kicks, Boomstick Hecate’s Diadem, Staff of Null, Holy of Holies

Are the items with the best increase for ability powers. Frosty’s Revenge offers not as much increase here and also nothing an pure DMG build would benefit. It ads only some survivability and less damage – it’s and option if you think that you lack in that part but in this build it’s just not your priority.
