Lumburr Item Builds
Core Items
These items are necessary in order to play Lumburr optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player or you have a very good reason for doing so
As a babysitting support, Lumburr find a lot of use in water line support items. His passive encourages him to regularly stand by his allies, allowing them to regularly benefit from the additional gold that water gem provides. Both Purifying Bracers and Tidecaller’s Mark are powerful items that can push allies out of tight situations or give them some room to finish off enemies.
The Aegis suits Lumburr very well, allowing him to spam his abilities along with its tanking attributes. As Lumburr supports his team through control effects, he will need as much access to them as possible in order to maintain his influence in team fights. |
Optional Items
A great offensive item, Mantle of Ra can help Lumburr soften enemies and pick up a bit of gold whenever alone. Lacking in natural attack power, Mantle of Ra can help Lumburr punish enemies who wander too close.
Good on a number of heroes, Lumburr can get a lot of benefit from Frost Cape. Another source of crowd control is always welcome, and the stats that the item provides will toughen up Lumburr’s defenses and give him even more cooldown speed to accellerate his spellcasting.
Gaia’s Standard is a great way to stave off magical damage. Beyond that, it offers some movement speed, which Lumburr can definitely benefit from, as well as a regerative passive. The passive is a great way to stay alive, even to the extent of netting the player some positive health after taking damage from a minion or weaker monster.
Hyoga’s Edge offers large amounts of defensive stats along with another source of crowd control. Lumburr will both slow enemies and speed himself up whenever he attacks, making him an even more formidable source of control effects.
A must when facing against strong mages, Medallion of Troy is a heavy source of magic defense. It offers a lot simply through its stats but then additionally gives the wearer a protective shield periodically.
As someone who doesn’t rely much on his damage, he doesn’t find much of a loss in Rock Shield’s self damage reduction. Starting the shield charge right before rushing into the fray can be a great way to draw fire and charge up the shield. As a supporting tank, you want to be taking as much enemy fire as you can anyway, so getting rewarded for it is a double win. |
Sample Item Builds
This build focuses on items that improve Lumburr’s survivability and utility to his team. As a crowd control monster, Lumburr loves adding more sources of control to his arsenal. Frost Cape and Hyoga’s Edge do just that, slowing enemies down to a crawl when focused by the rock giant. Tidecaller’s Mark futher assists the wearer’s team with its aura, Lumburr’s close range making him an idea candidate for the item.
Here we throw in Mantle of Ra to give Lumburr a bit of extra damage in his attacks. The damaging aura it provides will additionally help him rough up enemies he engages on. Frost Cape additionally will give him some extra damage through its passive, pumping up a normal attack whenever an ability is cast. Despite this small focus on aggression, Lumburr will solidly remain a tank with large amounts of survivability through items like Gaia’s Standard and The Aegis.

This build makes Lumburr quite tanky and thereby very able to absorb lots of enemy fire for the team. The items offer armor and magic defense in spades, allowing the golem to get into the thick of fights in order to disable enemies and shield allies.

What is the point of having separate Switch pages for the heroes that we’re led to believe are for the switch version of this game instead of mobile (I understand it’s just an earlier version), yet in the item builds on many pages (as well as this page that’s linked to from Lumburr’s recommend item build) you list items that don’t exist on the Switch? I mean, if it’s too much work, say that. Don’t mislead us so that when we spent all our hard earned gold to buy a hero & come here to follow the recommended item build, we’re screwed. It doesn’t say, “if you’re on switch, use X instead of Y,” like it should. Just some honestly up front would have been better than just listing items that don’t exist in my game.
