Moren Item Builds
Core Items
These items are necessary in order to play Moren optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player or you have a very good reason for doing so.
Scorching Wind | Moren makes a fantastic jungler, though needs a jungling item when doing so. Storm’s Tempest is the best choice for marksmen, providing the highest benefit both when it comes to stsats and its passive ability. |
Claves Sancti | Claves Sancti is an invaluable addition to pretty much any marksman. The lethal combination of critical chance and attack damage will do wonders for Moren’s damage output. In addition, the movement speed boost that it offers on critical hit will help the marksman stick to whatever enemy he is pursuing. |
Optional Items
Offensive Item Choices
Fafnir’s Talon | Fafnir’s Talon mixes very well with Tactical Maneuver, it allowing him to very quickly knock off large chunks of the enemy’s health. It offers a variety of useful stats as well, making his unempowered attacks additionally lethal as well. |
Omni Arms | With how frequently Moren can cast Tactical Maneuver, Omni Arms can provide a huge amount of damage to the marksman. Beyond the great passive, the item additionally offers a large amount of very beneficial stats, helping him with attack damage, attack speed, life steal, health, and cooldown speed. |
Slikk’s Sting | Slikk’s Sting is a great choice for Moren, especially after taking Claves Sacti. It provides all around great stats for Moren, helping him critically strike more often, attack more quickly, and move faster around the battlefield. The item additionally grants resistance, allowing the marksman to slip out of control effects likes stuns or slows. |
Fenrir’s Tooth | Fenrir’s Tooth can be a great last item when looking for a large amount of extra damage. It offers an immense amount of attack damage along with a passive that will help the wielder execute low-health enemies. |
Rankbreaker | When needing a way to tear through enemy armor, Rankbreaker is always a great choice. It’s movement speed will help Moren get around when not propelled by Tactical Maneuver and the flat armor pierce will both make him break through enemy defenses and allow him to sunder squishier heroes. |
Muramasa | Muramasa is your armor pierce option when the enemies are stacking up large amounts of armor. The percentage-based armor pierce works best against those who stack up armor, bringing the tanks down to more manageable levels. |
Boots Upgrade
Guilded Greaves is a great boots upgrade for Moren since he already has an innate tankiness. Getting this upgrade allows him to take more damage and also helps him survive magic damage. | |
War Boots is an aggressive upgrade for Moren. But once he has his core items set up, this boots can complement his attack speed and bolster his offensive firepower. |
Active Items
Moren is like any other marksman heroes in that he relies on his auto attacks for his damage. This item does not only boosts his attacks’ power through its attack damage and critical strike, but also adds the Bloodthirster active ability which can help him in difficult situations and ganks. |
Sample Item Builds
Many players have recently been playing Moren as a jungler, so this build is put together with that in mind. It naturally starts with Scorching Wind, giving the additional experience that a jungler needs while beefing up his attack speed. After that we build fully into his attack power, Claves Sancti, Slikk’s Sting, and Muramasa all making his attacks more and more lethal. Omni Arms takes it a step further, effectively adding a third attack to the two brought by Tactical Barrage. While not offering much utility to his team, Moren will be a damage monster.
Claves Sancti | War Boots | Fafnir’s Talon | Slikk’s Sting | Omni Arms | Fenrir’s Tooth |

Here Moren comes out of the jungle and takes the more familiar place for marksmen in lane. Again, all the items are geared towards strengthening his normal attacks, Claves Sancti, Fafnir’s Talon, Slikk’s Sting, and now Fenrir’s Tooth making each into a ball of death. Omni Arms and Fafnir’s Talon together will additionally give him some regeneration in fights, each providing a bit of life steal to the shooter.

Late-Game, Long-Lasting, Rapid-Fire Assault (Xtromo’s LGLLRFA/A Better, More Mobile, SAW From Vainglory):
War Boots, The Beast, Slikk’s Sting, Devils Handshake, Frost Cape, Hercule’s Madness (in that order)
This build focuses on pure attack speed to get those 5 basic attacks in over and over, so you can spam your first ability. It also provides massive life-steal to allow for 1-on-1 success that also benefits from his passive. War boots give some attack speed to start off. Follow up with The Beast–this is where the base for most of your damage comes from, while providing some life-steal to take advantage of his passive. Slikk’s Sting provides more attack speed, crit chance, and some extra movement speed, while providing some defense after crits. Devil’s Handshake does the same, but also increases attack speed (from its passive) a bit more. Feel free to switch around the two. Next is Frost Cape and Hercule’s Madness, which provide some defense as well as some utility. Frost Cape makes it easy to chase down enemies, and Hercule’s Madness makes you extremely powerful late-game. Expect to do OK early and mid game, but you will dominate the battlefield late game. Once again, feel free to switch around the last two items.
One thing to remember is that this is a LATE GAME build. Make sure to drag out the match as long as possible to ensure victory. If you want a quick, easy win this build is not for you. It will be a long, fun, easy way to victory–if you’re smart and careful.
Late-game, it is easy to constantly move while firing off a few shots consistently. Use this to your advantage when needing to run or chase down enemies. However, it may also be beneficial to stand your ground when being chased, as this build provides immense lifesteal, allowing you to stay fighting longer than both you and your opponent expect. You might still die though.
Shotgun Approach:
Scorching Wind, Guilded Greaves, Clavis Sancti, Rankbreaker, Omni Arms, Fenrir’s Tooth.
Description:
Scorching Swind allows repeated use of Tactical Maneuver, Gilded Greaves allow easier escapes from CC, and Omni Arms pairs beautifully with Tactical Maneuver as well. You can midline Moren with this build and still get out alive with a Triple Kill.
