Murad Item Builds
Core Items
These items are necessary in order to play Murad optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player or have a very good reason for doing so
or |
Murad can choose between Soulreaver or Scorching Wind. If you’re having trouble getting your ultimate off, then the huge attack speed that Scorching Wind provides can help you out. That said, we prefer Soulreaver for experienced players because its great damage and cooldown reduction is fantastic for Murad. |
Fenrir’s Tooth |
The pure attack damage that Fenrir’s Tooth offers along with its strong passive makes it a natural choice for Murad. The damage boost to low health enemies applies to both his auto attacks and abilities and thereby never wasted on the assassin. |
Optional Items
Offensive Item Choices
Omni Arms is also a popular pick for Murad since it offers a lot of stats well suited to him. Its unique passive also allows him to double the damage of an attack made after an ability. | |
This is an alternate choice to Omni Arms for players who are looking to stick in with their team rather than burst and run. The attack power and attack speed mix is great for Murad, the lifesteal giving him some more regeneration when using Temporal Turbulance as well. | |
As it is with most assassins, Rankbreaker is a very valuable item to Murad. It provides attack damage, armor pierce, and helps him move between the lanes with its movement speed bonus. | |
Spear of Longinus helps Murad shred through enemy armor each time he attacks the enemy. His reliance on normal attacks and multi-shot skills allow him to rip through enemies armor very quickly. | |
Muramasa will help you deal with enemies who stack up large amounts of armor. The percentage based armor penetration does not stack well with other armor penetration items however, Spear of Longinus usually a better pick than Muramasa. | |
Death Sickle not only provides some additional attack damage, but a special passive that protects the holder from a single amount of lethal damage every few minutes. This can help Murad escape from situations that would otherwise kill him. |
Boots Upgrades
Gilded Greaves is one of the best boot choices for Murad due to the magic defense and resistance that it provides. This is important for mobile heroes like Murad, as getting stopped by control effects will completely shut them down. | |
War Boots |
Given his need to have attacked several times before his ultimate is available, Murad benefits heavily from attack speed. If the enemy team is light on magic damage or crowd control, or you’re wanting to take a more aggressive approach to Murad, War Boots can make a decent alternative to Gilded Greaves. |
Sample Item Builds
This is a fairly standard build for Murad, featuring high amounts of attack damage and armor pierce. It additionally provides the assassin with a nice 40% cooldown reduction as to allow him regular use of his abilities. The main flaw here is a lack of attack speed outside of War Boots and Omni Arms, so careful planning will be necessary when engaging to ensure that Murad’s ultimate is available when needed.
Soulreaver | Gilded Greaves | Spear of Longinus | Frost Cape | Fenrir’s Tooth | Death Sickle |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
While very similar to the first build presented here, this set of items has some more defensive stats instead of being purely offensive. Frost Cape, Spear of Longinus, and Gilded Greaves will all give the assassin a bit more staying power in fights and an easier time preparing his ultimate as a result. Death Sickle holds Murad in the fight, even if the enemy tries to burst him down.

Another nice build is Soulreaver, War Boots, The Beast, Rankbreaker, Fenrir’s Tooth and Death Sickle. Start building Mr. Stabby and boots and just finish Soulreaver after The Beast, because you need lifesteal early. About the Arcana, you have two options: 10x Onslaught, 10x Skewer and 10x Assassinate, for more damage and armor pierce, or 10x Bloodlust, 10x Skewer and 10x Reave for more life steal.
Murad’s newer and better burst build: Mr. Stabby, Fancy Boots, The Beast, Soulreaver, Rankbreaker, Omni Arms & Fenrir’s Tooth. Fancy Boots are there for abusing the hell out of his ult and 1st skill. The Beast is there for another round of devastation.
Getting The Beast is really handy to reduce that probability of your death and Fancy Boots are there for all-day devastation.
And just in case that doesn’t ho well with your current arcana, here are the arcana’s that will surely help you! 1x Obliterate, 6x Onslaught, 2x Bloodlust, and 1 Gale II. Now the purple ones are a shitton of Vamp! And also the green ones are a shitton of Assault! Note: This is the budget build for Murad and using this will give you 50% life steal!
And armor pierce as well, though not much but enough. And before I forget, here is the basic attack technique that will reset your passive 90% of the time! So here’s the technique, do a basic atk 4x, then use your 1st, then follow it with 2x basic atk and use your 2nd dash, then do 2 more and use your 3rd dash and do 2 more basic atk and use punish, then 6 atk later your passive will reset! Viola!
I meant to say voila.
Murad Durable Build
Soulreaver, warboot, rankbreaker, mantle of ra, fenrir tooth, herculean madness

Murad Cheese Build
1st item- Soulreaver: What did you think is was going to be, leviathan?
2nd item- War boots: Early attack speed, useful for getting ulti
3rd item- Rankbreaker: All-around good item
4th item- Blitz Blade: Increased attack speed and movement speed(More attack speed than ommi arms however ommi arms has 10% cooldown and like 20 more attack damage)
5th item- Muramasa: Eats armor up like grocery, 10% coupon for your abilities.(Spear of Longinus is a suitible alternative if enemy is squishy)
6th Fenrir’s tooth: When 4 attack damage items aren’t enough, here’s one more. Standard Build
(I’m assuming as a player that you have control of the sage buff for 20% cdr.)
