Wonder Woman Item Builds
Core Items
These items are necessary in order to play Wonder Woman optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player or you have a very good reason for doing so.
Frost Cape | Frost Cape provides excellent defensive stats along with some nice utility. It allows her to better stick to enemies, slowing any she attacks after using a normal attack. This is especially useful on Wonder Woman, Sword and Shield able to proc the effect each time it is cast. Stats-wise, Frost Cape gives her everything she needs in the form of bonus HP, armor, and cooldown reduction. |
Mantle of Ra | Riding the line between defense and offense, Mantle of Ra is a great fit for brawlers like Wonder Woman. Not only does she benefit from the armor and attack damage that the item provides, but the burning aura it offers will help her tear down enemies in team fights. |
Optional Items
Leviathan | When using Wonder Woman as a jungler, Leviathan is her best choice when it comes to jungling items. It grants her bonus HP for each jungle monster she kills along with a damaging aura whenever enemies are near her. Add in base amount of health and armor mixed in and you’ve got yourself a huge source of survivability in one item. |
Medallion of Troy | Medallion of Troy is Wonder Woman’s go-to defensive item when dealing with mages. It is a huge source of magic defense and health, additionally providing a magic shield to protect the wearer even further. The cooldown reduction it offers will allow Wonder Woman to cast her abilities more frequently, . |
Spear of Longinus | Spear of Longinus is a good hybrid item that grants Wonder Woman some decent offensive and defensive stats. When wielding the spear, Wonder Woman will rip away at the enemy’s armor with each of her attacks, leaving them even more open to further punishment. |
Hyoga’s Edge | If Frost Cape wasn’t enough to lock down enemy heroes, Hyoga’s Edge will grant even more chasing potential. It slows the wielder’s target with each normal attack, additionally boosting the attacker’s movement speed. With regard to stats, Hyoga’s Edge offers large amounts of armor, magic defense, and HP, making it an excellent choice when needing additional survivability. |
Mail of Pain | A counter to physical damage dealers, Mail of Pain can be a great way to shut down marksmen and warriors or have been snowballing out of control. Its passive reflects some of the physical damage the wearer receives back to its source, punishing any who engage the wielder. |
Amulet of Longevity | While a bit expensive, Amulet of Longevity can be a great way to enhance your durability. Beyond offering an immense amount of raw health, the item additionally improves the amount of health that all other items offer the wearer. Furthermore, it increases the effectiveness of healing effects, allowing Wonder Woman further sustain from Amazon Shield |
Hercules’ Madness | Hercules’ Madness is the another good hybrid item for Wonder Woman with good overall armor and magic defense. In addition, the item provides a shield and raises the user’s attack damage should their health fall too low, making it a good way to flip fights. |
Boots Upgrade
Gilded Greaves |
Gilded Greaves work best when facing a team heavy on magic damage or control abilities. They should generally be her default choice, the resistance a more valuable stat than anything the other boots offer. |
Sonic Boots | Sonic Boots work best against enemies who focus on their normal attacks. Get this boots upgrade if the opposing marksman or melee warrior is snowballing hard. |
Sample Item Builds
This build focuses on jumping into fights with the intent of locking down enemies so that your allies can then pick them off. The big combination here is Frost Cape and Hyoga’s Edge, they offering a lot of defensive stats together as well as a pair of slows to ensure that your enemies cannot escape from your initiation. The build additionally has a much more defensive focus, Wonder Woman absorbing a lot more damage when rushing in at the front of the fight.

I always wonder woman as a full on tank so this is my build for her:
-Mantle of Ra
-Gilded Greaves
-Frost Cape
-Gaia Standards
-Mail of Pain
-Shield of the Lost(marksman) /Medallion of Troy(mage) “depends who is the strongest carry
The build I’ve been using that works decently is
Spear of Longinus – Gives hp and cooldown, Good for a bruiser.
Gilded/Sonic Boots – Depends on comp.
Frost Cape – Good slow, dmg, and cooldown after initiating with lasso or s1.
Hercules Madness – Good bruiser item with both damage and defense.
Medallion of Troy – I use this most of the time for the cooldown to get a nice 35% and magdef.
Amulet of Longevity – Good sustain and increases passive healing.
This build isn’t Attack heavy, but ww is still able to deal decent damage and protect allies with it.
I would call it Sirius’ Damage Sustain or something like that.
Below is a build I like to use as Wonder Woman when the team comp features a tank like Grakk or Mina as the roaming support and a tankier solo laner like Arum or Taara opposite me. It’s a bit more aggressive than the builds supplied in the article, but closely resembles the “Initiator” build. The idea of this build is to maximize Wonder Woman’s initiation and target-sticking. This entails building several hybrid items to supplement her attack and defense in equal measure.
The build looks like this:
Mantle of Ra
Gilded Greaves (can swap for Sonic Boots if the other team doesn’t have a lot of CC or magic damage)
Frost Cape
Hyoga’s Edge
Fafnir’s Talon (great on Wonder Woman because she can get in quite a few normal attacks in a teamfight)
Spear of Longinus
I like this build because it is very well-rounded, giving CDR, attack, defense, and control. Again, it is best in a tanky, protect-the-carries comp, when WW can afford to build a bit less defensively.
