Arena of Valor Released in India

Unbeknownst to the rest of the world, Arena of Valor was finally released in India today, after months of anxious interrogation by Indian fans on seemingly all social media platforms. India is famously known for having the second largest population in the world behind China, where the original Arena of Valor – 王者荣耀 or “King of Glory,” with characters based on Chinese myths and legends (plus King of Fighters characters for good measure) – exploded in popularity starting in 2016.

Indians themselves learned of the release a couple of weeks ago via a localized version of Arena of Valor’s official Facebook page, with the release made official today:

Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, the iOS version won’t be released in India until April. Android users in India can download Arena of Valor here. The provider in India is Sixjoy Limited, the fourth provider of Arena of Valor after Tencent (China, Americas, and Europe), Garena (all four Southeast Asian servers and Taiwan), and Net Marble (South Korea).

Japan Still Without Arena of Valor

As some of you may know, there’s a Japanese version of Samurai Gamers. A few writers even live in Japan, which makes it especially painful for us to learn that there’s still no definitive news on the Japanese release date:

With a population of roughly 130 million people, Japan is by far the largest remaining developed nation without Arena of Valor. They join Australia (population 25 million) as the two most gamer-heavy countries without Arena of Valor as of the writing of this article.
