Hero Availability Update + Upcoming Heroes (April 13, 2018)

The Americas are nearly caught up to Europe in hero count, with SEA (MSP) and India continuing to lag behind. Another slew of strong heroes is scheduled to release in the coming month.

Hero Availability Update + Upcoming Heroes (April 13, 2018)

It’s time for another update on recently released heroes, as well as which heroes are rumored (leaked?) to appear next.

For the Americas servers, all of the heroes debuted on the exact day they were rumored to, with the exception of Murad. Instead, it appears he’ll be released a couple of weeks from now (see below). In case you’re too lazy to click the link above, those releases were:

Airi – March 30
Liliana – April 3
Superman – April 12

Liliana was made playable the same day on the Europe server, continuing the trend for new heroes to be simultaneously released to all Tencent-managed servers. After some consideration, we’ve placed Liliana in Tier S, with room to move up if players get used to her difficult-to-master play style.

The Southeast Asia (MSP) server, meanwhile, received Cresht in early April, then Superman on the same day as Europe and Americas to help celebrate the massive version 13 update. The server continues to fall behind the Americas in hero count, even though Arena of Valor was released two months earlier there.

Finally, India is catching up to the rest of the servers, receiving Arduin, Cresht, Lindis, Nakroth, Superman, and The Joker since our last update.

Upcoming Heroes

Based on the Twitter account @AOVLEAKS, the following heroes will be released to the Americas (and Europe for Wisp and The Flash) on these dates:

Wisp – April 20
Xeniel – April 24
Murad – April 27
Maloch – May 4
The Flash – May 11

Wisp is the first new hero in a while to not be consistently picked and/or banned in Taiwan’s GCS, though few marksmen other than Violet and The Joker are considered there. Regardless, she seems viable enough on ladder, as she benefits tremendously from critical hits.

Xeniel gives the Americas its second global hero after Max, while Murad and Maloch give the servers more top-tier options in the assassin and warrior roles.

Lastly, The Flash appears to have a kit similar to Murad, with extreme mobility and decent damage.

Once all of these heroes hit the Americas, the only remaining “old” heroes yet to be released will be Batman and Toro.
