Hero Item Builds List

Core Items

These items are necessary in order to play Riktor optimally. Only diverge from a core item if you are a very experienced player or you have a very good reason for doing so.

Arena of Valor Hyoga's EdgeRankbreaker An all around solid item when it comes to offensive strength, Rankbreaker will help Riktor pierce through enemy defenses to attack them directly. The movement speed that it offers is a nice bonus, stacking with the bonus movement speed he receives from his water state to allow him to very quickly move between the lanes.
Arena of Valor Frost CapeOmni Arms Elemental Power’s additional damage after an ability cast makes items like Omni Arms and Frost Cape great fits for Riktor. Omni Arms is for those wanting to go all in on Offense while Frost Cape should be picked when having a rough time with the enemy’s damage. DON’T EVER TAKE BOTH.

Optional Items

Arena of Valor Mantle of RaMantle of Ra The burn provided by Mantle of Ra meshes well with the area damage provided by Hunter Mark. Riktor will be extremely deadly to those caught in close quarters with the numerous burning auras.
Arena of Valor Fenrir's ToothFenrir’s Tooth With more attack damage in one place than any other item in the game, Fenrir’s Tooth can be a huge addition to Riktor’s build. The item is very expensive, though and should generally be saved for the last item in a build.
Arena of Valor Medallion of TroyMedallion of Troy A solid item when it comes to stats, Medallion of Troy is a great way to protect oneself from magic damage. Riktor likes having a solid defense along with his offensive strength, so the item should regularly be considered to protect from mages
Arena of Valor MuramasaMuramasa Another item designed to deal with enemy armor, Muramasa should be picked whenever the enemy has stacked up armor to counter you. The additional cooldown speed is nice as well, allowing Riktor more dashes and counterattacks.
Arena of Valor Mail of PainMail of Pain Riktor is most comfortable at short range and thereby can be weak to kiting. Mail of Pain helps alleviate this by reflecting some damage back at marksmen who try to hit him from afar.

Boots Upgrade

Arena of Valor Gilded GreavesGilded Greaves Resistance is one of the most valuable stats in the game, protecting from crowd control. Given the heavy amount of crowd control in the game, these boots can be essential.
Arena of Valor Sonic BootsSonic Boots If the enemy team is heavy up on auto attackers, Sonic Boots can be the best choice for the game. Reducing the amount of damage taken with each auto attack,

Sample Item Builds

This build tries to take advantage of Riktor’s strengths, turning him into a rather lethal bruiser. He will have quite the attack damage, Mantle of Ra, Rankbreaker, Omni Arms, and Fenrir’s Tooth all contributing to his overall DPS. This is all while sporting a respectable defense stat as well. Mantle of Ra and Medallion of Troy bot up his durability to keep him alive in scarier brawls.

While a star in the Dark Slayer lane, Riktor can find use in the jungle as well. His Jungle Strike knocks opponents into the air when he is in a brush state, making him adept at ganking opponents. We went with Leviathan here, the burning aura stacking with his damaging field. Rankbreaker, Omni Arms, and Fenrir’s Tooth will again take care of all of his damage needs. He will be capable of some rather impressive amounts of burst damage, especially when using multiple instances of Jungle Strike. Hyoga’s Edge will help him keep enemies in place while additionally strengthening his defenses, taking some of the burden away from Leviathan.

  3. Hey guys my build with riktor has been doing quite well. I main slayer lane and I run indomitable, benevolence, and crusader. As for my build. MY CORE 3 items are Gilded boots, unless they are Pdps heavy (even then ill probably go gilded). Mantle of Ra for the extra tank/dmg aoe and rainbreaker because the passives are broken and riktor definitely needs some armor pen. As for my last 3 items, I have been playing around a bit and I thoroughly enjoy the survivability of mixing Gaias standard with death sickle (this gives me multiple chances of survival and disengage from team fights to reposition even if I am being targeted and added dmg/cdr. For my final item I have been going omni arms (late game, combining the stacking Apen from rainbreaker and the passive/wall of stats from omni, I destroy squishies and can fend off/ take on aggressive late game pushers and tanks. I have been very successful with this build so far.
I am not a min maxer so if anyone would like to add some input, it would greatly be appreciated. My IGN is Babytrashcan.

    • To add to this, you can be aggressive from lvl 1, but with this build, riktor wont be truly annoying until he gets rainbreaker, so if you do not like a tanky start, switch Mantle of Ra to 3rd slot and rainbreaker to 2nd.

  4. I have had more success building Soulreaver when jungling (great synergy with first ability’s enhanced normal attack) than opting for Leviathan, and instead building an extra defensive item later in the game in lieu of Fenrir’s.

    Something like this:
    Soulreaver
    Greaves
    Rankbreaker/Muramasa
    Omni Arms
Medallion of Troy/Gaia’s Standard (depends on third item)
    Hyoga’s Edge

  5. Build name: Exorcist
Items: Leviathan, Gilded Greaves, Mantle of Ra, Spear of Longinus, Omni Arms, Medallion of Troy
Explanation: A powerful jungle build for Riktor. Leviathan and Mantle of Ra allow Riktor to do 3 things – clear jungle faster, secure kills, and do devastating AoE magic damage in team fights. Gilded Greaves prevent CC from killing Riktor. Spear of Longinus offers awesome armor penetration as well as a sweet 15% CDR. Omni Arms syncs wonderfully with Jungle Strike’s enhanced auto attack, allowing Riktor to deliver the killing blow. Finally, Medallion of Troy hinders pesky mages from doing damage (remember, Riktor wouldn’t trust a mage as far as he could throw one), as well as additional CDR, totaling at 35%. High damage, high HP, high CDR; the perfect combo build for Riktor.
