Valor Series Weeks 1 and 2 Recap

It’s time to recap the results of weeks 1 and 2 of the Valor Series, the qualifier league/tournament to the Arena of Valor World Cup for North America and Europe and a $100,000 USD tournament (both regions combined) in its own right.

Note: this article does not go into great depth for each match. It’s more of a crash course for those who want to catch up with what happened before week 3 begins.

Qualifier Tournament

Before the weekly tournaments began, qualifier tournaments were held to determine the initial eight participating teams from each region.

26 teams signed up and checked in for both qualifiers in North America, with Allegiance, Immortals, Team Upsla, Team Dino Riders, Team Feroxx, Team Atlas, Ten Toes Down, and Team One Trick earning the most points and qualifying for the week 1 tournament.

For Europe, 61 teams signed up and checked in for the first qualifier, with 48 teams checking in for the second qualifier. After all was said and done, SK Gaming, For The Dream, Team RoyaL, Team Kebab, Arctic Gaming, Nova Esports, Myth, and Team Vitality came out of the field to qualify for week 1.
