Five teams will be competing this weekend for the opportunity to represent Southeast Asia (Malaysia/Singapore/Philippines server) in the upcoming Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC).

Five SEA Teams To Compete Tomorrow for the Final Regional Slot

As the Road to Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC) nears its conclusion, five teams from Southeast Asia (SEA) will battle it out this weekend in the second season of Valor Cup at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines.

Five teams will be competing this weekend for the opportunity to represent SEA in the upcoming AWC. The teams are Tamago from Singapore, Resurgence from Malaysia, and Bren Esports, Wil New Era, and Clutch Guild from the Philippines.

Since there will be only one representative from each country, the three teams from the Philippines will fight this Saturday in a round-robin format to determine the lone Philippine representative. The winner of Saturday’s clash will be put to the test in the grand finals on Sunday to determine who will represent the Valiant Server in the upcoming AWC this July.

The winner of the grand finals will not only get to represent SEA, but also have the opportunity to win a portion of the $550,000 prize pool. The prize pool currently holds the record for the world’s largest prize pool in competitive mobile esports tournament.

According to Justin Lye, the Product Manager of Arena of Valor, he expects nothing but the best for all the participating teams,

“I can still vividly recall the intense finals which saw Wil New Era coming from behind to be crowned champions for Valor Cup Season 1. The stakes are even higher in Season 2, with qualification to the AOV World Cup up for grabs,” he said.

“I will definitely be looking forward to an exciting weekend at the SM Mall of Asia for our Season 2 Grand Finals.”
