Pokemon Sword and Shield - Digging Duo Item List

Digging Duo Items

The digging duo are brothers that can be found in the Bridge Field wild area near the pokemon nursery. They will agree to dig up random items for you for 500 watts.

How to Farm Watts

Features

Each of the brothers has unique characteristics. The one standing on the left can only dig up a few items because of his low stamina but has a better chance of finding rare items. The one on the right can dig up more items since he has more stamina but has a less chance of digging up anything rare.

Note that your game will automatically be saved after paying either of the brothers the digging fee. This means that there is no way to do a save-and-reset exploit until you get the item you want.

Evolution Stones

The digging duo’s services are a good way to obtain evolution stones which are relatively uncommon to find while going through the main story.

  1. I believe That the guy on the right cannot give the version specific rare fossils, things like bottle caps, wishing pieces, and rare fossils are only given by the skill brother. When I was digging I spent around 30,000 Watts and found that the skill brother gave a rare fossil per 15 normal fossils. I play shield so I received two bird fossils and one dino fossil after receiving 18 fish fossils and 17 drake fossils. The rare fossils are definitely the rarest item he can give, and the most he can dig seems to be 11 at a time. The stamina brother on the right seems to give a lot of the same items but can dig for longer, but he cannot give rare fossils or bottle caps etc. If you are looking for stones, they spawn daily on the opposite side of the lake of rage at the large stonehenge-esque eeveelution structure, along with one of the eeveelutions (the eeveelution present will be based on the weather and time).
