Guide for Wyndon Champion Cup Finals Stage (Bede)

The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Bede is back as one of the Gym leaders that joins the champion cup eliminations. He assembled a team with four dual types and pure fairy type. Your best option is to bring a strong steel type Pokemon since almost all of his Pokemon are weak to it. Your team should be around level 75.

Here are the suggested Pokemon to use against Bea’s team:

  • Fire: Arcanine, Cinderace
  • Ghost: Mimikyu
  • Poison: Gengar, Salazzle
  • Steel: Bisharp, Corviknight, Ferrothorn

Bede Finals Stage Battle

  • Mawile (Lv. 61), Gardevoir (Lv. 61), Rapidash (Lv. 62), Sylveon (Lv. 62), Hatterene (Lv. 63)

He leads with Mawile which is the only fairy type to have a secondary steel typing. Whichever fire or steel type you chose, it is relatively safe to start using buffs like Hone Claws or stat boosting items like X Attack if your Pokemon is fast enough. You may also use some Hyper Potions or Full Restores if Bede’s Pokemon scores a critical hit or puts you on yellow health. After getting some boosts, use a strong fire, poison or steel type attack to take it out. If you’re using a fire type, you might have to use a couple more moves to knock out his other Pokemon. When he’s left with three Pokemon, use dynamax and hit it with Max Flare or Max Steelspike. Alternatively, you can bring poison types and collect more boosts with Max Ooze if you can afford to always move first while scoring one hit knock outs.
