What are Evolutionary Stones

Evolutionary stones are obtainable items that evolve specific pokemon. There are several types of evolution stones and they can be used at any to instantly evolve the pokemon they are used on.

Acquiring Evolution Stones

Type of Stone How to Acquire
Fire Stone From Lake Miloch, go north and cross the bridge to Motostoke Riverbank. Turn left to find the stone next to three energy pipes along the city wall. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Thunder Stone Giant’s Seat wild area. It is on the edge of a hill overlooking the lower area. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Water Stone Found in the wild area of Bridge Field. It is near a pokemon den along the outside of the Motostoke city wall. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Leaf Stone Path to the left of Turffield hill where a man is standing with his back turned. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Moon Stone At Dusty Bowl. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Sun Stone North section of Dusty Bowl. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Shiny Stone Route 8. From Doctor Joanna, go up the ladder on the right. Go around the path on the right to get the stone. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Dusk Stone Behind the pokemon center in Stow-on-Side. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Dawn Stone From Giant’s Cap, head south to find the stone near the large stones arranged in a circle around a pokemon den. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.
Ice Stone Immediately after obtaining the Rotom bike’s water mode from the surgeon on route 9, go into the water and paddle to the upper right corner (toward the opening formed by the iceberg). The stone can be found sparkling there. Also, at the Circle of Stones at Lake Outrage.

All evolution stones can also be obtained as random finds from the digging duo at the Bridge Field wild area.

Digging Duo Item List

Three random evolution stones respawn every 24 hours at the Lake Outrage wild area. From the Giant’s Cap wild area, go south to find large rock columns in a circular arrangement. Examine the rock columns to obtain a random evolution stone.
