Guide for Wyndon Champion Cup Finals Stage (Raihan)

The Wyndon Champion Cup is the pokemon league in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. The trainer who wins the semifinals proceeds to the finals stage to face one of the Gym challengers.

Recommended Pokemon

Raihan hasn’t changed his team relative to your match on the road to becoming champion. If your Pokemon is not trained enough, we recommend having one of each type. Teams that carry a fairy type Pokemon that is beyond the suggested level can opt to have a fire type move as well. Your team should be around level 75.

Here are the suggested Pokemon to use against Raihan’s team:

• Fairy: Gardevoir, Sylveon
• Ground: Excadrill, Flygon, Hippowdon, Seismitoad

Raihan Finals Stage Battle

• Torkoal (Lv. 60), Goodra (Lv. 60), Turtonator (Lv. 61), Flygon (Lv. 61), Duraludon (Lv. 62)

Apart from using the same lineup, Raihan replaced some of his Pokemon’s moves with ones that focus on attacks. As a result, your high level Pokemon should be able to come safely to use stat boosts if they have a low speed. If your Pokemon has high speed, focus on defeating Torkoal. When he sends out Goodra, you should be able to get some Dragon Dances off with Tyranitar, or use Calm Minds with a fairy type. Moves like Earthquake or Moonblast are useful against most of Raihan’s Pokemon. If he sends out Flygon after Turtonator goes down, have your Pokemon dynamax and use Max Starfall or Max Wyrmwind. Other Pokemon such as Hippowdon may also use Max Hailstorm. When faced against his Duraludon, use either Max Flare or Max Quake.
