Bottle Caps and Gold Bottle Caps
Bottle caps and gold bottle caps are used for hyper training pokemon. These allow you to raise a pokemon’s individual values (IVs) to their maximum level. Your pokemon will have to be at level 100 to be able to undergo hyper training.
A bottle cap can max out one of a pokemon’s IVs. A gold bottle cap, meanwhile, is used to fully-level all of the pokemon’s IVs.
Where to get them
Bottle caps and gold bottle caps are given as rewards for winning matches at the Wyndon battle tower. This requires you to clear the game by becoming the Galar region’s league champion. You can also purchase bottle caps at the BP shop for 25 BP each.
After reaching master ball tier in the Wyndon Battle tower, you will receive 3 bottle caps, 10 rare candies, and an ability capsule for the achievement.
Bottle caps and gold bottle caps can be obtained as random rewards for clearing max raid battles as well. You can also ask the digging duo at Bridge Field near the pokemon nursery to dig up rare items, including bottle caps and gold bottle caps, for 500 watts.
Hyper Training
After leveling any pokemon to level 100, head to the Wyndon battle tower and talk to the staff at the counter on the right. Decide on which IV you want to max out for your pokemon to spend one bottle cap. To max out all of your pokemon’s IVs, use the gold bottle cap instead.
