Guide for Spikemuth Gym Battle (Marnie)

In order to unlock the secret battle against Marnie, visit her hotel room at the upper floor of the Budew Hotel. The hotel is located in Motostoke city. Take the elevator leading to her floor and enter her room, which is right next to the elevator door.

Recommended Pokemon

• Fairy: Gardevoir, Hatterene, Sylveon, Grimmsnarl, Clefable, Mimikyu, Mr. Mime, Togekiss, Mawile, Alcremie, Slurpuff, Aromatisse, Shiinotic
• Fighting: Cinderace, Hawlucha, Sirfetch’d, Falinks, Conkeldurr, Machamp, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Pangoro, Gallarde, Bewear, Scrafty, Throh, Sawk, Lucario

Marnie Spikemuth Gym Battle

• Liepard (Lv. 59), Scrafty (Lv. 59), Morpeko (Lv. 60), Toxicroak (Lv. 59), Grimmsnarl (Lv. 60)

Marnie still uses the same pokemon from way back in the previous Champion Cup but with increased levels. She leads the battle with her Liepard, so have a fairy or fighting type ready. Among her Pokemon, Scrafty poses the least threat as it is four times weak to fairy type moves. Morpeko can be dealt with by using a fighting type. When it comes to Toxicroak, it takes additional damage from ground type moves. Her last Pokemon is Grimmsnarl, which is a dark and fairy type. If you have a steel type like Corviknight, Steelix, or Golurk, send it to battle. Otherwise, stick to your fairy Pokemon and have it use a high power move of your choice.
