Guide for Slumbering Weald Battle (Sordward)
After winning the battle against Hop at the Slumbering Weald, two new characters named Sordward and Shielbert showed up. They introduced themselves as descendants of the first kings at Galar and stole Zacian’s rusted sword relic and Zamazenta’s rusted shield relic. In the Pokemon Sword version, Sordward challenged the player for a pokemon battle in exchange for the rusted sword relic.

Sordward Slumbering Weald Battle (Pokemon Sword only)
- Sirfetch’d (Lv. 60), Doublade (Lv. 60), Bisharp (Lv. 60), and Golisopod (Lv. 60)
Your first battle with Sordward starts with first pokemon, Sirfetch’d, a pure fighting type. Choose from flying, psychic, or a fairy type pokemon to counter its moves. Depending on the first pokemon you called out, he will choose between a Doublade or a Bisharp. To defeat Doublade, we suggest sending out a pokemon with strong ground type, fire type, dark type, or ghost type moves. As for Bisharp, you can send a pokemon with fighting, fairy, ground, or fire type moves. Sordward’s last pokemon is a Golisopod and so use a pokemon with strong grass type, flying type or rock type moves.
